It's that time. It's now or never. We, as a family, have decided to make the move to Italy as soon as I complete my Masters. This will be end of next year hopefully ;) 2016, so we will probably move early 2017. Our plan is to move to Pizzone, Molise but if that fails we will find a beautiful little town or village to create our new life. Although there are many things to consider, there is a time in your life that you just have to say #uck it! Let's go! And that time has definitely come for our family. We want to live our lives but are finding that we are constantly on hold because we don't want to live here permanently. Wooohoo! Now, back to work writing... |

Above is our beautiful Wookiee. He was a healthy five and a half year old Maremma until a week and a half ago when he passed away from cancer.

I really like your blog, and please accept my sincere condolences about your incredibly beautiful baby. I am SO sorry - I am a dog nut - to me they are really people in doggie bodies. I have 3 now, just lost my most special one - little Jack - on April 23. He was 1/2 toy Shih-Tzu and 1/2 Maltese, a rescue. My precious little boy, just an angel - in fact, he told my animal communicator that his angels brought him to me. Perhaps one day I'll write that story for you to publish - angels really did bring him to me. I will be very interested in following your progress. I have no interest in Australia though I know it is beautiful, and I have not 1 drop of Italian blood - all Scottish and Irish - but Italy is at the top of my "love" list. There are many Italians, mostly Sicilians (Sicily - another at the top of my list) of Hammond, Louisiana, and of course, 50 miles away in New Orleans. I will watch and see where you 2 land. I am almost 65 but much younger than my years and still hold out hope of getting out of the US, only thing holding me back is my son in FL. I would have withdrawal if I could not see him often. Well, thank you for your very interesting blog, and I will keep checking periodically to "keep tabs" on ya'll (sorry, I'm from the South - we say ya'll.) Take care, and again, I am so very sorry about Wookiee. He was/is an absolutely gorgeous baby, and I do know how much you miss him. What does his name mean? Do you know about the Rainbow Bridge? I also have 2 urns of ashes to carry around, along with tiny boxes of fur. I can tell you are my kind of people.

Me again. I was so focused on your beautiful baby that I forgot to say I absolutely agree with your comments about the houses for 1 Euro. They are for life and living, peace and beauty, repair of your soul, not speculation.

Hi, Aden and Fiorella, sorry to not have responded in so long. I've been trying to clean out my house still which just takes so much time and then I still don't see much progress. Lots of paper and paperwork always, and of course, doggie cleanup. Neverending.
